Kilmore Cottage takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Kilmore Cottage is operated by John and Helen Cousins, Kilmore House, Ballask, Kilmore, Co. Wexford, Y35XR83, Ireland. For any privacy query, contact us at info@kilmorecottage.com.

What we collect

  • Name, address, email and phone number, when you make an enquiry or a booking
  • Booking details: arrival and departure dates, party size, and any special requirements you tell us about
  • Payment information: card payments are handled on a SuperControl-hosted payment page, processed by HolidayRentPayment (a YapStone International Ltd company); we see only the last 4 digits of your card via the SuperControl booking record, and have no access to full card details at any point. If you pay by Revolut, bank transfer or cheque instead, we don’t retain your banking details afterwards
  • Email address, only if you choose to sign up for our newsletter
  • Website usage data, such as pages visited and how you arrived at the site, if you consent to analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy)

How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries and process bookings
  • To communicate with you before, during and after your stay
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations
  • To send you marketing emails, only if you’ve opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time

Who we share it with

SuperControl, our booking and property management system, processes your data on our behalf to manage bookings and enquiries. Card payments are processed by HolidayRentPayment (YapStone International Ltd), who handle payment data on our behalf; we don’t see or store full card details ourselves. If you leave a review, UpFront Reviews (also part of SuperControl) may publish your name and comments, with your consent. We don’t sell or share your data with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We have used SuperControl as our booking and property management system since 2010, and booking and enquiry records remain stored within that system from that date onward.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted where we’re not required to keep it. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
