Arrival time is 4.00 p.m., departure time is 10.00 a.m., in both cottages. We use a keysafe for self check-in: you’ll be sent your code and directions shortly before arrival. Each cottage has a different coloured door: Kilmore Cottage is red, Teach Eile is blue. Please let us know in advance if you expect to arrive later than 9.30 p.m. We facilitate early check-in on request, but this is subject to the early departure of outgoing guests.
For bookings made more than 6 months before arrival: a non-refundable holding deposit of €50 is payable at the time of booking, an interim payment of 30% becomes due once you’re within 6 months, and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. For bookings made within 6 months: a non-refundable 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. For bookings within 6 weeks: full payment is due at the time of booking. You can pay by card online, Revolut, bank transfer or cheque; see our Terms & Conditions for full details.
Provided: you’ll find complimentary towels, bed linen, liquid handwash, washing detergent, dishwasher tablets, toilet roll, kitchen towel, washing up liquid and more, so you only need to bring your clothes, your toiletries and your food. Both cottages have a well-equipped kitchen, complimentary WiFi, and a TV you can log into your own Netflix on. A damage deposit of €100 is payable in cash on arrival: this acts as a float for heating and electricity, which are metered and charged at cost. We read the meters on arrival and departure and return the balance to you in cash when you leave.
We’re experienced in welcoming guests with disability, including wheelchair users, and hold the ABLE Tourism Award. Both cottages have level, no-step access with a set-down parking area at the front door, wet room style showers (not a tray, open on two sides with curtains) with grab rails, normal-height kitchen worktops, lever taps, and low-level light switches. Beds are on wooden frames so your own hoist can slide underneath. We provide a complimentary shower chair and toilet seat raiser on request, and can provide an Irish Wheelchair toilet master key on request. See our Accessibility page for full detail.
See Equipment Hire on our Accessibility page for the full list of companies our guests have used before, and a note on bed and door widths.
Pets aren’t permitted in Kilmore Cottage or Teach Eile, with the sole exception of registered assistance dogs accompanying a guest with a disability. Please notify us in advance if you’re travelling with an assistance dog: an additional cleaning charge of €100 applies, and we can assure you enhanced cleaning is carried out after all such stays.
Kilmore village is 700m away, with two pubs, Mary Barry’s and Quigley’s, for food and drink, and Murphy’s XL as the corner shop for newspapers, basic groceries and the Post Office. In Kilmore Quay you’ll find The Little Saltee Restaurant & Takeaway, plus a coffee hatch serving fresh baked goods at The Grounds Bakery, right by the little beach. Bridgetown has a small Centra supermarket, Bridgetown Pharmacy, Kilmore Seafresh (a fish shop with hours that vary with the availability of fresh fish), and Zaeire, an artisan chocolatier and coffee shop.
For everyday bits, Murphy’s XL in Kilmore and Goff’s Centra in Bridgetown are both close by. For a bigger shop, Wexford town (about 20km away) has Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Pettitt’s Supervalu, three Aldi stores and two Lidl stores. Some guests arrange an online Tesco shop for delivery straight to the cottage. Eircodes, if you need them: Kilmore Cottage Y35 AY98, Teach Eile Y35 TH58.
